Endodontics
Commonly called "root canal" surgery, Endodontic treatment is necessary when the pulp (the fleshy centre of the tooth) becomes inflamed or infected. It can have a variety of causes, but if pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess. Many endodontic procedures are performed to relieve the toothaches these problems cause. The Endodontist removes the affected pulp, carefully cleans and shapes the inside of the tooth, then fills and seals the space. We are proud to have Dr Allesandro Falanga as part of our team who has a special interest in endodontics and has had articles published in several international journals.
