Hitchin periodontal referrals

We will offer your patient a full periodontal assessment, combined with any x-rays if necessary to assess the current health of their mouth. We will then discuss with your patient any findings from the assessment, on the x-rays, intra oral photographs that have been taken.

Dr Shah will discuss which treatment is recommended, to ensure we offer your patient the best possible long term periodontal care. This assessment is charged at a fee of £150.00 for up to an hour’s appointment.

Kruti Desai

Kruti graduated from Kings College London ( BDS ). She has worked in both general practice and in hospital at the maxillofacial unit at John Radcliffe Hospital. During this time she went on to attain her Diploma of the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Kruti then went on to complete her extensive Periodontology Specialist training at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Hospital. She is passionate about periodontology and the important role it plays in the oral and general health of patients and is committed to providing high quality treatment and wants all her patients to feel happy and confident with their teeth and gums. Her practice is now limited to periodontology and implants and always continues to develop her skills further.

Dr Dhru Shah, BDS MClinDent Perio M.Perio RCS Edin

Dr Dhru Shah

Dr Dhru Shah is a registered Specialist Periodontist. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2003.

Dhru completed examinations granting him Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dhru subsequently embarked on a four-year specialist training programme in the field of Periodontics and Implantology at Guy’s Hospital, London. As part of his specialist training, he also completed a Masters of Clinical Dentistry Degree in Periodontics at King’s College, London whilst attaining Membership of Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

After the initial assessment

Once your patient has seen our periodontist, we will send yourself and the patient a full report of our findings and the recommended treatment, so you are always part of your patients care. We will also advise your patient to continue with their general dental check-ups and care with you.
