Patient Journey
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE AREA OR SIMPLY WANT A NEW DENTIST, GET IN TOUCH WITH US.
Here at Hitchin Dental Care, we want our patients to be happy, and we have found that patients like to be part of the process while deciding what treatments they want to keep their teeth and gums in perfect shape. Afterall, you are the best person to understand what bothers you most about your teeth or smile. We can combine your point of view with our expertise and dental knowledge and recommend the perfect solution.
With this in mind, we introduce the clever, innovative technological advancement known as the iTero scanner. This intelligent machine lets you, the patient, and our dentists visually highlight your current dental needs and, if your teeth need aligning or straightening, see how your teeth could look following your dental treatment. The iTero scanner is more commonly used to map out the progress of orthodontic treatment using Invisalign. However, it’s also invaluable in our new patient journey, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
The iTero digital scanner permits us to produce fast, accurate, colour 3D images within minutes. The images are shown on screen, which allows us to enhance the patient experience substantially.
We are always thrilled to welcome new patients to our practice. You can make an appointment through our online booking system, or contact our friendly team by phone. Or feel free to pop in and make an appointment with our reception staff.
NEW PATIENT CONSULTATIONS
We have a special offer for initial consultations, which is a starter package for just £99* This will include:
- A full dental assessment
- small intra-oral x-rays
- A scan using the iTero scanner – this provides 3D pictures of your teeth and gums
- We discuss and highlight any problem areas
- We provide a fully personalised treatment plan that you are happy with, including detailed costs and length of treatment time to achieve your final goal
- *There will be an additional fee should a large orbital x-ray be required e.g. When assessing wisdom teeth for extraction or you have a heavily restored dentition or advanced gum disease
During your full assessment, we will check for signs of decay and gum disease. We also screen for mouth cancer, giving you absolute peace of mind. It helps us if we know about your medical history when you attend, as it can give us an idea of the bigger picture when we check your oral health.
We recommend you visit a dentist every six months for a routine check-up, even if you don’t have any noticeable problems and have a generally healthy mouth. We can detect gum disease early and spot any signs of decay before they worsen.
We can also take x-rays and use our iTero digital scanner to provide an accurate picture of your teeth and gums. This scan helps us detect any issues, but it also means we can see if the teeth are crooked, discoloured or would benefit from alignment. It helps us visualise in 3D pictures how your teeth can improve. From this viewpoint, we can then arrange any further treatment.
*A deposit of £45 will be required at the time of booking. The remaining balance to be paid on the day.
