Many people are put off having braces because of how noticeable they are. Invisalign straightens teeth while looking near invisible. Using a series of clear aligners, Invisalign gradually moves your teeth towards your desired smile.
We use the clever, innovative technological advancement known as the iTero scanner. This intelligent machine lets you, the patient, and our orthodontist see how your teeth could look following your Invisalign treatment.
The iTero digital scanner permits us to produce fast, accurate, colour 3D images within minutes. The images are shown on screen, which allows us to enhance the patient experience substantially.
Why choose Invisalign?
- Clear – virtually invisible so hardly anyone will notice you are straightening your teeth
- Custom-made for you
- Removable – removed for eating, brushing and flossing so you can still eat and drink all your favourite foods
- Comfortable – there are no metal brackets or wires to irritate your gums or the inside of your mouth
- Effective – you will begin to see the benefits of a better smile right from the start of treatment
What happens during my treatment?
Our dentists will take impressions of your teeth using advanced 3D computer imaging technology. Your entire treatment and individual tooth movements will be planned and you will be able to visualise your treatment from start to finish through animated visuals. A series of clear aligners are then custom-made for you that will gradually move your teeth in to the desired position.
Each set of clear aligners is worn day and night for up to 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. The aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours per day for the best results and the dentist will advise you how often to change the aligners. As treatment progresses, you will notice the teeth gradually move to their final straightened position as you replace the aligners.
You will visit your dentist once every eight weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned and to collect the next set of aligners.
The number of aligners and total treatment time will vary between individual patients. You will be fitted with retainers after the treatment is completed to prevent them slipping to the start position.
